Overview

Performance reviews in Hejj follow the same visibility rules as 1:1 conversations, with one important exception regarding manager and employee answers.

Who Can See Performance Review Conversations?

The content of performance review conversations can be viewed by:

  • The manager

  • The employee

  • Upper management (people higher in the organizational hierarchy)

  • HR

Private notes within performance reviews remain visible only to the person who created them.

Can Employees See Their Manager's Answers?

No. When a manager fills in a performance review and clicks submit, the employee cannot see the manager's answers.

This is a key privacy feature that allows managers to provide honest feedback and assessments without concern that employees will immediately see their responses.

How It Works:

  • Manager submits β†’ Employee cannot see manager's answers

  • Employee submits β†’ Manager can see employee's answers

This ensures managers can complete their assessments honestly and discuss them with the employee during the formal review conversation.

Can Managers Edit Answers After Submission?

Currently, it is not possible to edit answers after they have been submitted.

We have received feedback about this from multiple clients and are actively working on a solution. The ability to edit submitted answers will be added to the platform soon.

Key Takeaways

  • Performance reviews follow organizational hierarchy - visible to manager, employee, upper management, and HR

  • Manager answers are private from employees - employees cannot see what managers wrote

  • Managers can see employee answers once submitted

  • Editing submitted answers is coming soon - currently not possible
